Favorite Summer Memory

Summer school has been my priority this summer, unfortunately, but I have made the most out of it. I received an internship this summer at Cypress Falls Events in Wimberley, TX. Cypress Falls is an event center who prioritizes in weddings, reunions, and local town events. It has been the most amazing and enjoyable internship I have had out of my three completed so far. This internship has been my favorite part of my summer due to realizing what I want to do after graduation. So far I have worked four weddings this summer, all completely different styles. I love the fact that every wedding is different and something new to create. It is so fulfilling seeing the bride and groom so happy during their wedding day. It is true love at its finest. There are so many raw moments of pure happiness that I have been lucky enough to witness and experience at these events. My favorite wedding so far was the second wedding we had in June for a couple named Sara and Patrick. The theme was rustic whimsical and it was beautiful. Their colors were purple, gold and ivory. The couple looked so happy and in love, I will never forget that day for it was the day I realized I wanted to become an event coordinator. I never thought my favorite part of summer would be work-related, but every wedding day has been my favorite day this summer.

Blog #4 - Personal Hobby

I don't have hobbies, really. I mean, I used to collect Pokemon cards back in the day, but I stopped after I became a first-generation Pokemon Master . By the time I got to high school, I started to focus on being a social butterfly. After high school however, I was blessed by the greatest invention to ever grace the airwaves. RuPaul's Drag Race premiered in 2009. I got to see what drag is and could be. Here in Texas, pageant style drag is everywhere and prominent. But with RPDR , I got see how many different styles of drag there is. Punk, goth, realness, showgirl, spook, camp and comedy are just a few styles that exist within the drag world. My Most Cherished Memory at Texas State

My journey here at Texas State has been one I will remember and keep for the rest of my life. Although, my college career didn’t start here, I still consider myself a native to San Marcos. I started here at the end of my sophomore year and I still had some hours I needed to complete to become a junior. I instantly fell in love with campus and the environment around it. I definitely found my niche here at Texas State. There are so many amazing memories I’ve experienced here and to pick just one has been a challenge.
